Uniform

Trenance actively encourages the wearing of school uniform.

Uniform

Grey / Black trousers, shorts, or skirt
White Polo Shirt
Navy Blue Sweatshirt / Cardigan
Navy Blue / Grey Pinafore Dress
Red and White check dress (Summer)
Red / Navy tights
Grey / Black / White socks
Sun hats / caps are encouraged to be worn at playtime.

Physical Education

Black shorts and white T-shirt – sports trainers.
Outdoor P.E during the winter – joggers or tracksuit bottoms are ideal.
P.E kit should be kept in school and taken home at half term.
All children need a draw string P.E bag and a book bag.
We would ask that when selecting garments please avoid “complicated” styles and fastenings.
Remember that children have to dress and undress themselves at school.
Please mark all clothing with the child’s name.

Footwear

Sensible black shoes should be worn with toes and heels enclosed to avoid accidents and damage to feet (we do not encourage trainers or any other form of footwear).
School is a lively place and children need to wear shoes that enable them to fully participate and remain safe.
Crocs, flip-flops, open toe/heel sandals etc. are not acceptable.
Please provide your child with a pair of Wellies (to be kept in school), which will be worn outdoors.

Items are available from the Academy distributor:

  • White polo shirt with red trim and academy crest
  • P.E. set comprising of a P.E. bag, shorts & t-shirt with the academy crest
  • Book bag

Jewellery

We would kindly ask for NO jewellery, other than stud earrings and watches, to be worn in school.  We will ask children to remove jewellery worn until home time.

Hair

Hair that is longer than shoulder-length must be tied back. This helps to prevent the spread of head lice and ensures that hair does not impede the children’s progress.

Strictly no large bows or novelty headbands e.g. with ears/Unicorns – they are a real distraction to your own child’s learning as well as others – we request that they are saved for parties and dress-up days!
